Cyclonic Engineering

As a result of the destruction of Darwin in 1974, by Cyclone Tracey, the Northern Territory has some of the tightest building regulations in the world.   Since the 21st of October 2010 it has been mandatory for all Solar PV installation within the Northern Territories building control zone to have a building permit and engineering certification.

Country Solar NT has used a variety of products over time with each meeting and exceeding the requirements of the building code. Where required we have tested products to meet the requirements in accordance with the NT Building Act.   Our internal processes and document controllers handle the engineering process from start to finish including facilitating the Building Permit, Engineering Certification and updated Occupancy Permit.  These costs are included in your quote from Country Solar NT.

Country Solar NT have certified over 2000 solar PV systems across the top end from 2kW through to 1250kW. Our in house engineering teams have engineered Solar carparks, grounjd mount and roof top systems of all sizes.
